1. Invest in yourself. Invest in quality education. Invest in healthy living. Invest in knowledge. Invest in a high paying skill. Master it and be an expert.

Any money that enters your hand, make sure you spend a bit on something valuable. Even if it means data to learn a new language on YouTube.

2. Invest in your own business/money earner. You need to keep putting money in that thing that makes money for you. I like business. If you like it too, you should invest in your business. If you are self employed or a career person, invest everything to get to the top and make more money.

3. Invest Other People’s Businesses

You can’t do it all alone. As you make money in your business or career, put money in both public and listed businesses. Learn how the stock market works and start to grow it.  It is not hard to do. And do not listen to pessimists. Nigerian stock market is a great place to invest. I know I do. And of course you can invest in foreign assets to.

You can also invest in private businesses but be very careful. Do your due diligence. Many scammers out there.

 4. Invest in Real Estate

This is one of the most guaranteed investment ever created in history. Usually very safe. If you buy a plot of land in No 1, Emeka Nwofor Street, Lekki Phase One (I made it up), you be rest assured that the land will be there in 30 years.

However you cannot guarantee that your stock in any company or your bitcoin will be there in 30 years.

Buy real estate. But be careful. If you have money, no need to go into the bush. Don’t look for the cheapest. Look for valuable deals. I am not a fan of buying residential properties for investments. I can’t really explain the details within this article.

To be safe, buy land in a good area. You can easily decide on what you want for it. House, hotel, gas station, events center etc. you can lease it out as well if you have no immediate plans

: 5. Invest in people

Invest in those around you. Your wife/husband, siblings, friends, colleagues etc. Not everyone will appreciate it and you probably won’t need many of them but it could just be one of them that will be your saving grace at a point in need.

It has happened to me. But I can’t give details here .

Invest in people.

That concludes my article on investments.
