The Brave Ones: Navigating Womanhood, Work, and the Weight of Modern Life

Two things happened to me this morning that left a deep impression.

First, I stumbled on an article on AmakaStudios. Thobile Mazibuko shared her beautiful but honest experience of motherhood; how pregnancy and childbirth tested her strength yet still brought joy. Reading her story, I couldn’t help but wonder how she managed everything, especially at work. Her calling herself "brave" made total sense. Because let’s be honest, she is.

Then, scrolling through WhatsApp status updates, I saw a video from TikTok creator Coral Santoro. And her words? They stuck.

Your dad built a house at 30. You’re renting at 30. Same effort, new economy... Your mom raised 3 kids without a degree, but you have a degree and three side hustles just to survive... They played in rookie mode. You’re playing as an expert in inflation, digital pressure, and a world that never sleeps.- Coral Santoro

That quote hit hard. Not because it was dramatic, but because it was true.

We live in a world where hard work alone isn’t enough anymore. The rules of the game have changed. If you’re feeling tired, overwhelmed, or like you’re constantly playing catch-up, you’re not lazy, you’re living in a world that demands too much and gives too little in return.

Even from my own journey starting a business online (read here - https://amaka.studio/u/@iyereperpetual/technicalities-of-starting-a-business-online-entry-level-to-digital-marketing-XiaGvSfbT_89l7rbc7sSZ), I’ve realized that knowledge is just the beginning. It’s applying that knowledge and staying consistent that creates progress.

But in this era of hyper-productivity and endless hustle, especially for women —mothers, creatives, entrepreneurs— it’s easy to feel like you’re drowning. And still, many of us press on. We raise families, grow businesses, support others, and keep it all together.

Truth is, it’s not easy.

But what if I told you you don’t have to do it all alone?

Say Hello to Hellomom

At Hellomom, our mission is simple: To help you balance the weight on your shoulders so you can stand stronger.

We see the silent strength of women every day — women like you, like Thobile, like every mom trying to hold it together in an unstable world. We know the silent pressures: from nurturing a family to building something of your own, to navigating a life where digital skills are currency.

That’s why we’re here.

Hellomom is more than a brand—it’s a support system.

Whether you're growing a business, learning digital tools, managing home life, or just trying to catch your breath, we step in to lighten the load. We provide digital services, emotional support, and relatable community content tailored to help modern moms thrive — not just survive.

In a world that never sleeps, women are still expected to do it all. But maybe, just maybe, it’s time to share the load. Because as Coral said, “we’re not playing on rookie mode anymore.”

So don’t be too hard on yourself. You’re not falling behind; you’re building in a whole different world.

And help? It's just a click away.
