FREEBIRTH - TO BIRTH WITHOUT ASSISTANCE IN AN UNDISTURBED ENVIRONMENT, IN A WAY THAT IS MOST NATURAL TO ALL PRIMATES.

HOMEBIRTH - TO BIRTH IN THE COMFORT OF ONES HOME, ALONE OR IN THE PRESENCE OF FAMILY, BIRTH PARTNERS, BIRTH ATTENDANTS OR MIDWIVES, AND IN A MANNER THAT HONOURS THE BIRTHING WOMAN'S CHOICES & RESPECTS THE NATURAL UNFOLDING OF PHYSIOLOGIC BIRTH.

You've probably heard Christian Women pray to birth like the Hebrew women

If you're a Christian woman, you've probably held this prayer to heart yourself.

But what I have come to notice, and this was true for myself as well, is that most people don't have a clear understanding of the true ramifications of this prayer, it's far reaching meaning, it's intention and what the reality of birthing, for the Hebrew women, was like.

I think a lot of Christian women have carried this belief that to birth like the Hebrew women means a smooth, easy, uncomplicated birth... correct me if I'm wrong...

But no where in the Bible is that even remotely implied.

Infact, the exact scripture says:

The midwives said to Pharaoh, "Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women, for they are vigorous and give birth before the midwife comes to them. - Exodus 1:19

So if this was not the case, what did birthing for ancient Hebrew actually women look like?

From the scripture, if we are to deduce any meaning, it is that, as it states, the Hebrew women gave birth before the appearance of their midwives, which means they were unassisted and undisturbed during delivery - aka Freebirths, were a natural and normal occurrence for them.

And to give flesh to this proposition, we take a look at the prime Hebrew woman, who's birth defied every modern conception of safe as she powerfully birthed through her body, the Savior of the World.

Mary Freebirthing Jesus

When we glance through the story of Mother Mary's birth, we unearth the story of a woman in a manger, surrounded by animals and with only one other human witness to her birth - Joseph

We can deduce one sure meaning from this:

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

Mary gave birth to her Sun, without the assistance of any midwives or birth attendants, alone, except for her husband and in the most primal way ~ depending only on her body's instincts and with supreme trust in her heart for the safety of her child.

But this was years after the Exodus from Egypt, where the midwives had reported that Freebirths were the regular experiences of Hebrew women.

Eventually, we would see a shift to birthing with midwives, the use of plants, crystals, herbs and birthing chairs to facilitate physiological births.

I think it is important to point out the gravity of this simple prayer and to uncover the true ramifications of its supplication.

When Christian Women pray to birth like their spiritual ancestors, they are infact calling down a reality of birth Sovereignty, which is very different from the medicalized process of birth they are  eventually conned to settle for.

We have been programmed now by the medical establishment to mistrust the natural process of birth and to doubt the innate childbearing capacity of our female bodies (for healthy and even high risk pregnancies)

We have been told to depend on the knowledge of doctors and midwives above our intuitive knowing.

We have been programmed to unquestioningly fall down the rabbit hole of medicalized systems that remove us from the natural rhythm and expression of birth, this, delivering us into the standardized and often unnecessary procedures established within the "business of being born"

If Christian Women could conceptualize the far reaching effects of this prayer, actualized, they would quickly realize it's implications which includes, no need for the rush and influx of interventions ~ inductions, vaginal exams or membrane sweeps, no need for fetal monitoring or pitocin, especially no need for epidurals and a host of other unnecessary procedures for healthy physiological women, would they still hold on to that prayer?

Tune in and feel what is alive for you in this visualization...is your heart beating, do you sense fear in not following your doctor's orders...do you feel empowered and calm in your body?

This and the prayer of countless other non-denominational women across our Earth to have empowering births and birth choices is what is restoring the new exodus away from a reliance on the Medical system as our established authority on birth, to homebirths and Freebirths where the choices and preferences of women and families are honoured and respected.

Can we appreciate birth as a non-linear experience that cannot be scripted or controlled. Pregnancy and birth is the journey to transformation, unfurling like a spiral as a baby materializes in the body of a woman.
Can we embark on a journey and let go of the need for this voyage to be linear, managed and controlled.
Can we let go of the imprint that birth is dangerous, risky and dire.
Can we let go of the imprint that birth is a clinical event and appreciate that inherently birth is a physiologic and transformative event and clinical care is appropriate if desired but not necessary for most healthy women. Can we embrace unpredictability and be at peace in the unknown. Can we trust that in the midst of the unusual that we will know how to remain steady.--Whapio & The Matrona School of Quantum Midwifery

When did we collectively agree that birth would rest solely in the hands of clinicians and an authoritative standardized model of birth keeping?

The prayer to birth like the Hebrew women offers a very direct counter-attack on the current established order of birth today.

If the Ancient Hebrew women birthed without the presence of midwives due to their vigor, then in reality, we have been praying for vigor ourselves and a birth that unleashes a remembering of our innate power to birth healthy strong infants in a way that is gentle, unrushed and supported.

Can you accept that as your reality? Can you trust birth, and your body's wisdom? Can you trust God?

We have been planning to boycott the current system of labouring in birth for a long time.

We are slowly leaving the Pharaohs of birth doctrine and finding the peace and power in birthing in alignment with the natural processes the Divine mapped out for us from the get go.

However, just like the Israelites, there are those who will murmur and complain at this liberty, praying and wishing even to return to this metaphoric Egypt of often disempowering births with shush our own feminine wisdoms.

But if Sovereign birth is truly your dream, know that this is possible for you, that you come from a lineage of ancestral grandmothers in the hundreds of thousands who walked the path of sovereign birth -with the baton now being passed to you - and who trusted in their bodies capacity to do what it has naturally been built to, if left to move at its own pace.

Whether you plan to birth in at home, in a hospital or in a birthing center, remember that you and your body are capable and you can decide and call down the reality of the type of birth you want for yourself and your child, and you have the right to advocate (and be advocated) for the choices you want in your birth.

This is the path of Sovereign Birth, and it is every womans birthright.
