I have always been amazed by how football brings people from different backgrounds, tribes, religions, ages, and professions together. It promotes teamwork, unity, and a common goal. These portrait pictures were taken in the lively township area of Dutse in Jigawa State Nigeria.

People from different walks of life, such as artisans, workers, students, children, and craftsmen, come to play or watch the game. The atmosphere is filled with excitement, anticipation, and you can see genuine smiles, joy, and happiness on the faces of the players, fans, and spectators.

Watching football brings me immense joy. It makes me dream of a day when Africans, both at home and abroad, can unite like a big family. I envision a prosperous and progressive Africa that the world looks up to. That's why I titled these portraits "Unity in Football."

The title represents the idea that football has the ability to bring people together, breaking down barriers and creating a sense of togetherness. It shows how, through the universal language of the game, we can find common ground and work towards a brighter future.
