How many times did I call you? Three times right? I need us to

normalize catching ideas like they’re hot akara falling from our black nylon (almost white now by the way) bag - anytime, anywhere.

Whether it’s a notebook, a phone note, or a rushed voice recording that sounds like a hostage message, just save it. My dear, save it o. You see that stuff where you think you might remember it later??? Hmmmmmmmmmm. Don’t bank on that old memory of yours.

Ideas are the recipe for our best creative meals. And like every good meal, sourcing the right ingredients matters. Sometimes they show up while you’re walking, doing dishes, or mid-conversation with someone who thinks you’re actually listening(this is like my forte 😂).

Write it down. Type it quickly. Whisper it into a voice note if your fingers are too slow or you’re stuck in traffic. The form doesn’t matter, the saving does.

As a creative, I move around with a book, a pen, and my phone because I’ve learned that inspiration doesn’t book an appointment. You’ve got to be ready. The most brilliant lines, concepts, or scenes don’t always show up when you sit to write, they arrive when you’re living.

So don’t let them slip. Store them. Protect them. Serve them when the time (and the story) is right.
