‎When Love Defies Age

‎

‎A Story of Charity and Greatness

‎

‎“Age is not just a number; it’s more. If the woman is older, the love won’t work.”

‎

‎I heard that statement from a nearby table. I was seated just across from them and couldn’t help but listen in. I smirked quietly to myself, not out of mockery, but because I knew better.

‎

‎Love doesn’t always follow rules or logic. It simply happens. And when it does, no one not even age can dictate its rhythm.

‎

‎

‎A Love That Shouldn’t Have Been

‎

‎Let me tell you a story. It’s a love story one that may be nearing its end, or has even ended.

‎

‎Charity was twenty-nine, Greatness twenty-four. They met back in university, in their 300 level. She was loud, daring, outspoken the kind of woman who carried confidence like a fragrance. He, on the other hand, was calm, quiet, and always trying to avoid trouble.

‎

‎Like magnets on opposite poles, they drew toward each other. What began as a casual friendship slowly deepened. Charity was cautious, guarded even, but like the walls of Jericho, her defenses fell. And Greatness patient, kind, and persistent found his way in.

‎

‎Their love glowed. You could feel it from across the room. They were the kind of couple that made you believe again not in perfection, but in sincerity.

‎

‎People whispered, of course. “She’s older.” “It won’t last.” But they didn’t care. Their laughter drowned out the noise.

‎

‎

‎When Goodbye Came Too Soon

‎

‎Then came the end of school that bittersweet phase where love meets reality.

‎

‎Greatness’s family wanted him back home. Charity, strong and independent, had dreams of her own waiting to be pursued. And so, they stood at the edge of goodbye both knowing what it meant, both holding on longer than they should.

‎

‎It was tearful. It was raw. It was love meeting distance and duty.

‎

‎My prayer for them? That life, in its kindness, brings them back together again.

‎

‎

‎When Fate Whispers Differently

‎

‎There are soulmates, and then there’s the love of one’s life.

‎Few are lucky enough to meet both in a single person.

‎Some never meet either.

‎

‎Charity and Greatness did. But sometimes, fate has its own script.

‎

‎Love, in all its beauty, can also be heartbreaking not because it failed, but because it was real.
