Skate culture has seen unprecedented growth in Nigeria and African pop culture in recent years, with WAF leading the charge. Since its debut in 2012 as West Africa's first skateboarding brand, WAF has propelled the sport forward.

Comparable to the iconic streetwear brand Supreme, WAF has focused on skaters, providing a voice and a safe space for this vibrant community. Founder Jomi Bello has shared his experience of lacking a skateboarding community during his youth, which pressured him to feign interest in more popular sports like football.

Today, WAF brings joy to a once-overlooked minority, educating aspiring skaters, building skateparks, and creating clothing that celebrates culture and tradition.
