All Things Africa is a platform dedicated to preserving and celebrating African culture and heritage through enjoyable learning and curated experiences.

All Things Africa presents Know Your Roots, a private, invite-only celebration marking Africa Day 2025 with a curated evening of culture, music, food, and recognition. With 30–40 curated guests from across the diaspora, the evening honours those preserving African culture in their respective fields of music, fashion, art, media, and entrepreneurship.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a UK-based designer, creative maker, or multidisciplinary artist to design and physically create a bespoke award that reflects African excellence, heritage, and cultural pride. These awards will be presented to 5–7 honourees during the evening.

Ideal Background:

• Experience in product design, sculpture, woodworking, 3D printing, ceramics, or mixed media
• Strong visual storytelling through physical objects
• Ability to produce a premium-quality, culturally inspired item suitable for display
• Responsive and collaborative working style

What We’re Looking For:

• The final award should feel intentional and meaningful, not corporate or mass-produced
• Rooted in African aesthetics, symbolism, or craftsmanship
• Durable, elegant, and finished to a high standard
